I enjoyed reading this first blog post by Marina McLaren:
I really enjoyed listening to the podcast and reading into the points brought up about the significant reduction to educational inequality. The removal of barriers and global reach I find to be the best supporting points toward providing open and equitable, accessible education to all. I also really enjoyed hearing about the implementation strategies involving lots of collaboration in a learning environment, as this builds toward what I think is needed as we grow toward a technological and AI supported educational world. This type of collaboration offers opportunity for students to work with others, growing upon their understanding and clarifying their misinterpretations. Especially now with these AI tools, I think we need to move away from individual unsupported learning. Alongside that in the context of open access resources, some of these AI tools provide equitable access to information for everyone with access to the internet. They can provide two way dialogues on practically any amount of topics, which I think is really amazing.
